Halloween Par-tay!

Last Saturday night Lisa and Chris Peterson were nice enough to throw an awesome Halloween party! It was complete with witches brew, pumpkin everything, dancing, donut eating, dead person's body parts, and good food! We all had a blast and would like to thank them for letting us trash their house ;-) Anyway, here are some of the pictures from the party:

UTAH!!!!!

Well, as I was riding my bike down to work yesterday, I was just enjoying the early morning hours and looking around at the mountains towering above me. All of the tops had been dusted with a light layer of snow, almost as if just to taunt me and make me wait for the ski season a little longer! The roads in the valley were still wet from the overnight storm and the mountain peaks on the West side were glowing orange from the sun coming up. It was a beautiful scene. So, this post is dedicated to UTAH!! These particular pics are from Nortah (Northern + Utah = Nortah). I've just included the links to most of them, but here's one for starters just to whet your palate. All of the pictures were taken by Brad or Gina Duncan and may not be reproduced without permission.

ARCHES PIC (SEE BELOW)

So, Gina just posted up one of our Arches pics. That's the pic of us at Delicate Arch at about sundown. The light on the arch was good, but because we were in the shade it overexposed the background a little too much. I am trying to hone my photography knowledge and hopefully I'll be able to start up a photo website or photoblog or something like that.

At arches, Gina and I did a couple of short hikes, we first went to Landscape arch, Double O arch, and Partition arch in the Devil's Garden area. Then we went over to the Windows area and did the short hike to North Window with a view of Turret arch. After that, we went to Delicate arch and stayed there until after sundown. From there we were pretty much beat, so we headed back to Devil's Garden campground and cooked up dinner then hit the sack! It's always nice to get out in the great outdoors and enjoy God's creations, especially with loved ones. We had fun, and can't go back soon enough. Next on the list will have to be the rest of the Moab area...

Our First Blog Entry

So, we finally got out of the 20th century and created our own blog!! This is a place where we will post the latest haps with our family for anybody or nobody that wants to read it.

To start off, I (Brad) will give a brief history of our family. We have been married for two years today and if what they say is true about the first year (and second for that matter) being the hardest, then I think I really love this marriage stuff! =) We just got back from a weekend of relaxation at the Stein Erikson lodge in Deer Valley, and we've just been doing a lot of playing over the last few weekends. Last week we were at Arches for Gina's first time there, and we had a blast! There will be more from that trip to come in later posts as I get some pics ready to post, etc. Well, that's probably all I can think of for now, so until next time.... au revoir!
