The Pie Hole

My excitement for Holiday Baking has surged to a new and unforeseen high this afternoon. And so has my blood sugar from just thinking about it. Maybe I'm so jittery about pie because Thanksgiving is literally minutes away and it happens to be the only time of year that I eat pumpkin pie, my favoritest pie of all pies. Or perhaps my affinity for pie has dramatically increased because of my new obsession with Pushing Daises. Which you should watch. Regardless, pie is on my mind today. I wish that a pie-making talent was embedded in my DNA. Only then would I not have pie-mares where I wake up from a horrific dream sweating profusely because I have just managed to burn the pumpkin pie to a pumpkin crisp just in time to RUIN Thanksgiving. But no, instead my DNA is embedded with the ugly feet gene for which I am thankful for about 0% of the time. I'm a caker, not a pie maker. And I'm still mustering up the courage to make another attempt at the pie thing in hopes that no one dies as a result.
This week I'm going to keep watching this:

And brush up on this:

maybe we should all just move in together so we can have tv night every night! i LOVE pushing daisies. i can't get enough of it. it makes me tingle. i was also craving pie today-just a ton of all sorts. i told steve i want to eat a horse, but i was envisioning a buffet of pies when i said it. where and when we can we go get a slice?

A slice of horse or a slice of pie? j/k. ;-)

I'm sure this explains why Gina volunteered to make all kinds of sweet treats for our Condo Christmas party today....

BTW, when we were in Chicago, Gina's sister had Pushing Daisies recorded on HD and we watched it on their new HDTV. Watching that movie with HD audio and visual effects totally mesmerized me and has made me almost justify a new TV with HD, haha.

So do you think I could come to your place once a week and you can teach me how to cook all your delicious treats and dinners?!!!

I will have to make sure that Paul does not read Brad's comment about the HDTV!

We love Pushing Daisies as well. And pie, yummy pie! Mrs. Smith's Apple Crumb Pie is my favorite at the moment! If you are pie making inadequate like I am, this one is a super substitute!

I love pumpkin pie, even if it's burned.

I hate to admit it, especially to Kyle, but I do loooove the HD, especially when watching Pushing Daisies!
