Hello Due Date...

Goodbye due date! Not much to report here in the baby delivery department. We're doing what we can to "encourage" Little Bee on her way into this world (including walking, acupuncture, sugar comas) but she seems pretty content to lay low where she's at. She's all about the element of surprise, this one, and loves to make us wait. It's pretty much her thing. So we wait. And it's cool.

The Belly - 40 Weeks Pregnant

But in other news, the sunsets this week have been amazing. Absolutely breathtaking. Usually at some point in the evening one of us will perk up and suddenly say "look outside!" and we drop everything to witness the sun setting. We love to sit out on our deck on these cool spring evenings and soak up the golden lighting. I can't wait for Little Bee to join our evening porch sits. Daddy promises to keep his geeky science chatter to a minimum. Momma promises there will be popsicles.

In a Cloud

The Mr. and I returned today from a very lovely weekend in Park City. We've been engulfed in a giant fluffy cloud all day. The fog receded just enough for us to see the last slip of sunlight slinking away against the Oquirrh Mountains. I'm fighting the Sunday night blues by hunkering down under a blanket with candy cane hot chocolate and BD to watch the First Presidency Christmas Message. This year, we'll be having a different kind of Christmas. I feel infinitely lucky and loved. Honestly, I could float away on happiness.

There is beauty all around

I don't know why, but the sunsets during this time of year are truly unbelievable. I'm talking out of this world color and crazy on fire beauty. I love to sit in a trance and watch the day fade away to black and the valley lights emerge in a twinkle. Proof. Here are a few shots taken by BD from our balcony over the last couple of weeks. These are legit cross my heart, hope to die straight out of the camera.

This week has been jammed packed with highs and lows. Thankfully, more highs than lows. Due mostly in part to the people who keep me motivated in the right ways and the people that keep me grounded with everything else. My soul is warm. Tonight we are baking homemade pizzas with friends and tomorrow we get to repaint the bathroom for the third time this year. What?
