28 for 28

The evening commute is usually one of two things. One, a total drag where I miss every stoplight and become yet another frustrated commuter annoyed by all the other frustrated commuters in my way. Or two, a quiet similitude of my mind shifting from work mode to home mode and somewhere in the middle I am able to think clearly. During yesterday's drive home I had somewhat of an epiphany. It had suddenly sunk in (way down deep) that I'm turning 28 this month. And there are 28 days in February. And I was on 2nd South near 8th East. So there it was, written in the stars that I needed to blog about 28 things this month. Since my life revolves around the number 28, the universe speaks to me in this way. Surely, in the last 28 days of my 28th year, I should have 28 things to say about life, love, and the pursuit of such. Past, present, and future. Whether they will be of any interest to you, I can't presume. I've had much to share as of late but haven't made time to write the important things. Hip hip...

I am with you...Keane is awesome. I am definitely a big fan.

I love how music has the capability to trigger certain events in our minds. For instance, any time I hear Linda Rhonstadt, it reminds me also of high school and my car that did not have a working FM radio or tape player (so I couldn't use a portable cd player...remember the ones that had to be plugged into the tape deck...gosh we are old). In a desparate attempt to have some music in my car, I tuned into Star 1400 AM. The station really isn't all that bad if you like Linda, Anne Murray, The Carpenters, Lionel Richie, Aaron Neville...etc.

I am slightly jealous that you are still so close to your friends from high school... I wish I could say the same, but alas that was not our path in life. But no regrets, I love the friends I have now and I even have one great friend from our high school days. It is weird, I don't think we ever spoke once through out the whole 6 years we went to the same schools...Kaycee (Warner) Leishman you are the Best!

Happy 28th this month Gina!

i can't wait for your 28 posts-you were slacking there for a while. i was going to do 28 days of love for february, but then i had the worst day ever on monday (the 1st) so i didn't do it.

and i love the drop caps you used. i've been loving those but hadn't even thought to use them in the blog. maybe sometimes i should read the fine print rather than just look at the pretty pictures!

oh, aaaand i love the new header.
